SAM & DAVE!  Sam’s life journey from Overtown Miami, his successes, failures and triumphs are interwoven in his biography that chronicle not just him, but the the times, the history and the cultural impact of the pre and post civil rights movement. His journey takes you around the world and his return to Overtown, where he has created a legacy for future generations of musical artist.

This is the story of my friendship with Muhammad Ali, which began in 1961 when a young Cassius Clay, fresh from winning a Gold Medal at the 1960 Rome Olympics, relocated to Miami to train with boxing coach Angelo Dundee at the 5th Street Gym on Miami Beach.

Miami was my hometown and the birthplace of my amazing career initially as the lead voice of what was to become the internationally renowned soul duo Sam & Dave!
